TBFighters
I help build the TBFighters website and help organize other aspects of the group. TBFighters is a group of public health activists who fight against the causes of tuberculosis.
In the 1880s, David Chrowry-Muthu left India (where he was born) to become a physician in Britain. While in Britain, he opened "one of the largest and most up-to-date" sanatoriums in Wells, standing atop a hill, surrounded by trees and fresh air. But his sanatorium practice in Wells did not last long.
This is the story of why some of the first women doctors in Britain took the arduous trek to India, what they did there, and how they contributed to treating tuberculosis in India and our understanding of tuberculosis in India during British rule.
I'm a high school student from the Chicagoland area that loves to play ultimate frisbee, take pictures (you can find some of them in my portfolio), make websites, and write-especially on the history of medicine.
